Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor Liuchun Deng received his Bachelor in Economics and Statistics from Peking University in 2011 and his PhD in Economics from Johns Hopkins University in 2017. Before joining Yale-NUS, he was an assistant professor at the University of Jena and a research associate at IWH in Germany.

Asst Prof Deng’s research interests are international trade and economic growth. His current research focuses on two topics: (1) the labour market consequences of globalisation and automation; (2) characterisation of the dynamics of growth models.
