As a participant on Cross Campus, you are preparing to network and should hold yourself to high ethical standards and responsibility.
Administrators will be able to view all information that you add to your profile and all communications that you send through the Cross Campus platform. Inappropriate behaviour will result in you being removed from the platform.
Honesty and integrity. You should recognise that your actions will reflect upon you, other alumni, and Yale-NUS College. You must provide accurate information during your networking, communications, and career-related activities.
Professional behaviour. You should communicate and present yourself professionally, while being courteous and respectful in your interactions (in person, in writing, by phone, video chat or email) and you should:
- Manage and monitor your digital identity content (including text, voice and picture)
- Make reasonable efforts to remove materials that others may deem inappropriate or unprofessional
- Acknowledge calls, emails and invitations, and respond appropriately in a timely manner (within 24 to 48 hours)
- Attend all scheduled one-on-one interactions with other participants, and provide two business days’ notice for any cancellation, if possible.
Networking behaviour. You should abide by the following:
- Do ask for advice, information, and other contacts
- Do send a brief thank you letter or email after networking with a contact
- Do follow up with contact
- Don’t ask for a job or internship
- Don’t expect networking contacts to automatically share their network contacts
- Don’t spam a contact with emails or phone calls
Reporting inappropriate conduct.

- If you observe conduct that you feel may be inappropriate, in your Inbox, click the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of the message box in the message thread you share with the user you would like to report, and click “Report Abuse”.
