Yale-NUS College encourages alumni who are actively engaged in collective, purposeful, or professional activity to form a Shared Interest Group (SIG). SIGs are alumni-led, volunteer organisations which extend alumni engagement with the College and each other, allowing our alumni to positively impact their lives, their communities, Yale-NUS, and the world.

Objectives

SIGs are meant to:

  • Strengthen the ties among alumni and their connection to the College through the Group’s programmes
  • Provide the basis for long-term, sustained Yale-NUS alumni activity
  • Establish and maintain communication, consultation and co-operation between alumni and the College, in partnership with Alumni Affairs
  • Support the vision and mission of the College through alumni activity
  • Support alumni’s post-college activities to collectively make a difference in the world

Yale-NUS Alumni Affairs encourages alumni to form these connections, and aims to help bring alumni together by supporting alumni activity that arises from common or shared interests, leading to sustained programming and impact. Groups may be formed on the basis of ties and activities forged during undergraduate years, or focused on common interests and professional activities developed after graduation.
