To apply to be recognised as a SIG, your group will need to do the following:
- Arrange a conversation with Yale-NUS Alumni Affairs to talk about your idea
- Fill in the application form
- Submit the completed application form during one of the two application cycles this year (April-May, and October-November 2022).
Conversation with Alumni Affairs
Ideally, you should already have a detailed mission, vision, strategic plan, and constitution before submitting your application – but if you do not, that is fine. Part of the reason we encourage you to arrange a conversation with us at Yale-NUS Alumni Affairs is so that we can discuss some of these elements with you, to help you formulate your idea and assess its feasibility within the SIG framework. We also believe that the training that will be provided to your SIG’s EXCO will help you shape your mission, vision, strategic plan, and constitution.
Contact Yale-NUS Alumni Affairs at alumni@yale-nus.edu.sg to arrange a conversation.
Application Form
For a SIG to be recognised, the proposed group should submit an application, which will be reviewed by the Alumni Affairs team and Senior Leadership of the College.
Application Cycles
There are two application cycles each year. For 2022, the first application cycle is in April to May, and the second one is in October to November.
Email your application to Yale-NUS Alumni Affairs at alumni@yale-nus.edu.sg with the subject “SIG Application” by 15 May 2022.
The next application cycle will open in October 2022.
