Yale-NUS graduates are International Affiliates of the Yale Alumni Association. As such, they enjoy access to online services and programmes to connect with the Yale community.

Yale Alumni Directory

Upon officially graduating from Yale-NUS College, Yale-NUS alumni will be able to register and log into the Yale Alumni Online Community.

On this page, you should use the “First Time Login” link at the bottom of the “Already Registered” section, and you can follow the instructions from there.

YaleMail

Once you register with the Yale Alumni Directory, you will also get access to a YaleMail. This is a free GSuite email account through the YaleMail service and offers you a lifelong, branded @aya.yale.edu email address. You can use your YaleMail @aya.yale.edu account however you like: link to other Gmail accounts, auto-forward to another email address, or use it as a standalone account.

Yale E-News

Through its many departments, affiliates, and schools, Yale offers alumni a wide variety of electronic newsletters and e-communications to keep you up to date on all you want to know about the university and beyond, including YaleToday.

Once you register with the Yale Alumni Directory, you can manage your e-news at the Yale subscriptions page.

Yale Alumni Magazine

Since 1891, Yale Alumni Magazine has been reporting on Yale and its alumni. All alumni receive the magazine either in print or by email, published six times per year, and have access to private online features such as class notes.

Once you register with the Yale Alumni Directory, you can manage your magazine subscription at the Yale subscriptions page.

Yale Club of New York

Like many Ivy League institutions, Yale has a physical club in Manhattan. The Yale Club, a storied institution founded in 1897 and located at 50 Vanderbilt Avenue in New York near Grand Central Station, is a private-members club whose membership is made up of Yale faculty and alumni. It features event spaces, sports facilities, a library and reading room, dining rooms, and guest rooms that members can book for overnight stays in New York. As Yale affiliates, Yale-NUS alumni are eligible for membership.

Lifelong Learning

Take advantage of a wealth of intellectual opportunities for alumni, including in-person programmes on campus and around the globe, educational travel experiences, and online services like Coursera, iTunesU, and academic journal services like JSTOR.

Library Access

As a Yale affiliate, you have access to millions of academic journals, books, and primary sources, all for free, through JSTOR and HeinOnline.

Access is available once you register with the Yale Alumni Directory.

Career Resources

Yale has a range of career resources available to support your journey after graduation, including networking programmes and career webinars. Many of the online programmes at Yale’s Office of Career Strategy are open to Yale-NUS alumni.

As an NUS alumnus, you have access to the privileges and resources accorded by the NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR). These include:

Transcript Request

Official transcripts are prepared by Registrar’s Office and have the University seal imprinted on them. These transcripts are typically accepted for any official transactions such as proof of degree(s), or applications for admissions to academic programmes or employment.

With effect from December 2019, NUS issues electronic scrolls or graduate diplomas and official transcripts only for graduates from Class of 2019 onwards.

Lifelong Email

Yale-NUS alumni will be able to keep their student email address, which comes with 50 GB of email cloud storage.

You can log in using your lifelong email address as the User ID, which should be in the form of a1234567@u.nus.edu or e1234567@u.nus.edu, and not your friendly email address.

Please be aware that the NUS Lifelong Email requires a password reset every six months. If it has been some time since you last logged in to your account, you might need to change your password as well, which you can do so here if you remember your previous password; or reset it here if you don’t.

NUS AlumAPP

The NUS Alumni Card has gone digital. You can download the NUS AlumAPP from the Apple Store or Google Play. It offers news about events and allows you to unlock discounts at popular local restaurants and retail outlets; and for those of you outside of Singapore, some international offers like discounts on Hertz car rental worldwide.

NUS Webinars and Events

Yale-NUS alumni can choose to participate in NUS alumni events, including Family Day and the NUS Day of Service. Additionally, NUS has been organising online webinars, which are free for alumni to access.

AlumNUS Newsletter

NUS publishes a quarterly alumni newsletter called AlumNUS. Yale-NUS alumni have also been occasionally featured for their achievements.

NUS Alumni House

The Shaw Foundation Alumni House (SFAH) plays host to a variety of exciting events and programmes throughout the year. Venues are available for hire, and the Alumni Service Centre is located at the first floor of the SFAH, which provides alumni access to a lounge, computer lab, and meeting rooms.

The National University of Singapore Society (NUSS)

One of Singapore’s leading graduate clubs, NUSS offers meeting grounds for alumni of NUS and other selected institutions to gather for business, social, and leisure activities. With three clubhouses for members (Suntec, Kent Ridge, and Mandalay Road), alumni can take advantage of programming, food and beverage, and sports and recreation facilities.

NUS Library Digital Resources

NUS alumni are welcome to use the library in your pursuit of lifelong learning. More than 250,000 e-books, e-journals, and databases are available digitally specially for access.
