Research Fellow

Dr Grant Rao is seeking a Research Fellow skilled in algebraic combinatorics. Preferred fields of specialisation are finite group theory, permutation groups and graph theory.

This is a 6-month contract role, starting in July/August 2024.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a PhD in Mathematics from a regionally or internationally accredited institution, recent PhD graduate or in the final stage of PhD study. Strong background in algebraic combinatorics. Familiarity with GAP/Magma/SageMath would be a plus. Discuss existing research problems and discover new results. Develop new research directions. Assist in preparing journal papers for submission.
