Yale-NUS College organizes workshop on Asia’s wet natures

Published Oct 28, 2021

Environmental Studies organized a workshop in October to explore a series of panel discussions on Asia’s wet natures and its aqueous horizons and past histories, with the purpose of cultivating academic interest and insights in Asia’s wet natures such as Kolkata’s tidal creeks and Mumbai’s river systems, to Singapore’s kelongs and Banda’s corals. Future prospective were also brought into the discussion, such as the use of artificial intelligence (generative adversarial networks) to process patterns in existing species to generate previously unseen life forms.
