Many considerations go into selecting a study abroad programme, including a student’s plans about their Environmental Studies Area of Specialisation (AofS). In most cases, the courses students take during study abroad will frame their AofS and narrow the focus of their capstone project. It is thus important for students to choose wisely, in consultation with their advisor and Environmental Studies students returning from study abroad.

When to go for Study Abroad
Most Environmental Studies students study away their third year. Students interested in the Concurrent Degree Programme with the Yale School of the Environment, should confer with the Centre for International & Professional Experience to determine the best semester to go, keeping in mind the coursework and course availability at Yale-NUS to complete their AofS.
