This panel of leading journalists from publications across Asia and the West examines media coverage of US-China tensions. It explores how such tensions are framed and the most salient concerns or themes in different countries. While US-China relations are often viewed through the lens of the superpowers’ trade battles, they also reveal domestic political worries and the panel considers the extent to which the media may help shape public opinion.
This Geopolitics series is supported by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs. Sponsored by the Tan Chin Tuan Chinese Culture & Civilisation Programme.
