The Global Affairs major at Yale-NUS cultivates a wide range of knowledge, skills, and perspectives within its students. Our students learn to understand the world in all its complexity and develop a deep appreciation for the historical, cultural, ideational, and structural roots of contemporary global issues. Through their coursework, they are also trained in a wide variety of research skills, including both qualitative and quantitative methods, and also in the presentation of their findings. The major prepares students to connect theory to practice, as evidenced by the diverse array of internship opportunities and placements over the years.
