While on study abroad, Literature students can enhance their understanding of the discipline by taking specialist courses that Yale-NUS does not offer or immersing themselves in literature from the country where they are living. These courses may even count towards major requirements or they may inspire students to pursue a particular topic for their capstone.
Where to go for Study Abroad
Literature students should discuss with their Pre-Major or Major Advisors, other Literature faculty and, most importantly, the Head of Studies to find out more about prospective places or programmes for study abroad.
Some of the institutions that Yale-NUS Literature students have gone to include:
- Oberlin College, USA
- Tel Aviv University International, Israel
- Amherst College, USA
- University of Copenhagen, Denmark
- Wellesley College, USA
- Queen Mary University of London, UK
- School of Oriental and African Studies, UK
- Yonsei University Underwood International College, South Korea
