Physical Sciences students often pursue overseas studies during a semester abroad. Courses taken during study abroad can be counted towards the Physical Sciences major if they overlap significantly with core Physical Sciences courses (and taken in their place) at Yale-NUS, or are sufficiently advanced courses in a Physical Sciences discipline. These all require transfer-of-credit approvals through the Centre for International & Professional Experience (CIPE) and the Physical Sciences Head of Studies.
Where to go for Study Abroad
Physical Sciences students can talk to their Pre-Major or Major Advisors, other Physical Sciences faculty and, most importantly, the Head of Studies to find out more about prospective places or programmes for study abroad.
Some of the partner institutions that Yale-NUS Physical Sciences students have gone to include:
- University of Cambridge, UK
- Wellesley College, USA
- Yale University, USA
- University of Edinburgh, UK
- Leiden University, the Netherlands
- Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, Chile
- University of Copenhagen, Denmark
