This project aims to introduce interested listeners to the richness and complexity of the classical vocal music of North India through a set of specially commissioned concert recordings by some of the leading vocalists of India, accompanied by interviews, commentaries to select videos, and a textual apparatus that provides a context for the music and its traditions of Dhrupad and Khyal.
