These are some projects led by Yale-NUS College students to serve their communities:
VERE360 (Virtual Experience Real Empathy 360) develops immersive technology content for social issues education around the ASEAN region.
Sambridha Nari is a financial literacy campaign for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and future entrepreneurs who are primarily women.
I’mpart organises, innovates, and integrates volunteer efforts to create effective and relationship-driven change with underserved youths.
The Girls Dance Movement is a social impact initiative that uses dance to build a safe space for young women in underprivileged communities.
Project Deko utilises fun science comic workshops to effectively educate and empower underprivileged and special needs youths.
CIPE Grants & Advising Support
Students who are interested to lead social impact or service projects can:
- apply for CIPE-coordinated grants for projects that integrate the following outcomes:
- Community impact – makes a difference to a community (Yale-NUS or beyond), by raising awareness of an issue or advancing a solution to a community problem
- Engagement – embeds interaction with practitioners and communities
- Sustainability – addresses longer-term impact and capacity building
OR
- seek CIPE advising support to:
- Discuss new or existing ideas
- Identify next steps to strengthen or clarify proposals, including partner outreach/outcome evaluation
- Review drafts of proposals and budgets
